GLAT ATTACK

 An educational game show that prepares sixth grade students for the National Grade Level Assessment Test. The programme features three students from opposing schools who are offered questions in the following subject areas: Mathematics, Language, Social Studies, and Science. A general knowledge category is also offered in an attempt to produce students who are aware of important information that may not be in the school's curriculum.

The game comprises of five questions for each subject category. The questions are valued from 100 to 500 based upon their degree of difficulty. Students' scores are tallied at the end of the game and a final GLAT Attack question is given. Contestants are able to wage points based upon their score and a winner is determined after the final question has been answered.

This programme has been well received by teachers, students, parents and the general public as a great educational and motivational tool.

SPANISH CLASSES

An educational programme that teaches primary and junior high school students the language of Spanish. The programme features sixth grade students being taught by their teacher various Spanish lessons such as the following: Animals, Feelings, Numbers, The Alphabet, The Family, Greetings, Colors, etc.

The programme utilizes state of the art green screen technology, animation, puppets, and sound effects to capture the attention of the target audience. The usage of these techniques have greatly contributed to the programme's ability to bring the various Spanish lessons to life.

The programme has received great reviews from teachers, students, and parents for raising the interest in the study of foreign languages.

SCIENCE BOWL

An educational game show that prepares ninth and twelveth grade students for the national Bahamas Junior Certificate and Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education exams. The programme features three students from opposing schools who are offered questions in science related subject areas such as the following: Human Biology, General Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

The game comprises of five questions for each subject category. The questions are valued from 10 to 50 based upon their degree of difficulty. Two double point questions are also placed in the game thus giving students the opportunity to gain extra points if they are lucky enough to choose the hidden double point questions. This game has also has a video question that challenges students' knowledge of classroom based experiements. Students' scores are tallied at the end of the game and a winner is determined based upon the school with the highest score.

This programme has been well received by teachers, students, parents and the general public as a great educational and motivational tool.

MAD SCIENCE

An educational programme that features sixth grade students from Abaco actively conducting, reviewing, and discussing science experiements. The subject matter is based upon the sixth grade curriculum and also has information related to the junior high science curriculum as well.

The programme is hosted by a "mad scientist" whose humerous and animated character along with sound effects and 3d animation makes the various experiments exciting to the target audience.

The programme is in its second season and is steadily building a fan base of students and teachers.

GARY THE EXPLORER

An educational programme based upon the sixth grade and junior high school social studies, geography,  and science curriculums. Gary, the programme's host, takes students on journeys throughout the Bahamas exploring various subject related matters such as the following: Mangrove Swamps, Caves, National Parks, Coral Reefs etc.

The energetic and humourous nature of the host along with stunning underwater, land, and ariel visuals have made the programme stand out as a marvelous educational tool.

The programme is extremely popular with students, teachers, and the general public and has been applauded for producing Bahamian visuals and programmes in areas that were lacking in our country.

TELL ME A STORY

An informational and motivational programme which uses the Bahamian tradition of story telling. Students and the public are able to hear and see the old and new adventures of BreBookie and Bre Rabbie.

The programme uses state of the art green screen technology and 2d animation to bring the stories to life. The usage of this level of animation is a tremendous production feat and represents a level of Bahamian excellence seond to none in the Caribbean.

Tell Me A story is very popular throughout The Bahamas and has brought a new persepctive and interest in the art of story telling.

COMMUNICATING WITH HANDS

An educational programme that teaches students and the general public sign language skills and appreciation for the hairing impaired.

The programme utilizes green screen technology and is hosted by teachers and students from the Centre for The Deaf. Communicating with Hands has dealt with various topics such as the following: Seasons, Feelings, The Alphabet, Leisure Activities, Transporatation etc.

The programme is growing in popularity and is the only show of its kind in The Bahamas.

STUDY TIPS

An educational programme which teaches students from primary, junior, and senior high school various tips to aid their academic studies. The programme has covered a wide array of topics such as the following: Test Taking Tips, Auditory Learners, Visual Learners, Speech Giving, Multiple Choice Exams, Taking Notes, Writing Reports etc.

The programme utilizes sound effects, 3d animation, and a lively host, which have all contributed to making an effective series.

JUNKA AND NOO

An educational programme based upon the lower primary social studies curriculum. The programme utilizes the talent of sixth grade students in combination with state of the art 3d animation. The production techniques used  make it a technological marvel and stand out in the Caribbean.

The programme takes students and their 3d animated co-stars throughout various islands in The Bahamas such as Abaco, Andros, and Eleuthera. The programme because of these unique techniques, customized sound tracks, and sound effects has made it an effective educational tool.

CHARACTER COMMERCIALS

Educational commercials that teach students and the general public positive messages and lessons related to various social issues such as the following: Drug Abuse, Gang Activity, Peer Pressure, Prayer, Crossing The Street, Self Esteem, Internet Etiquette etc.

The commercials use state of the art animation and vibrant sound tracks which have made them popular with the target audience.

The timely messages and quality of the series have also led ZNS to use them throughout all programmes on the network including the evening news.
